...a huge thank you for the treatment that has given me back my life. As you know I was very sceptic about having the radiofrequency denervation, after a 4 year journey of pilss and other procedures. To be pain free and active has literally changed my life, I have a new job and am managing to work 5 days a week and my family are overjoyed! I wish you every success with the wonderful and skilful work that you do for people like me!!
I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for dealing with me so efficiently and for providing my treatment which I had so long awaited so quickly. Your service has at last restored my faith in the NHS system!!
Thank you so much for all your help during my in patient stay a the RBH. You and the whole pain team helped me so much throughout my stay! Without the acute pain teamand yourself and all the attention you gave me, I honestly thought I would have lost my sanity. I would not have coped without your help! Thank you so much.
Thank you for giving me part of my life back...My journey started 4 years ago, I developed an agonising, burning stabbing pain deep in my right side. through my GP I had physiotherapy, USG and I saw a back consultant and then a gynaecological consultant all with no benefit. Most days I cold hardly get out of bed, turning in the night was excruciating, I could not bend forwards. It not only affected me but also my partner as well. From my first appointment with you my life has changed you were informative and gave me a glimmer of hope that it would work. The injections I had ...was worth it for outcome I have had. There was an immediate effect. I am now many months down the line and apart from the odd times my side hurts(no where near as before) I'm relatively pain free. My whole mood and persona has changed. Thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart.
I would like to thank you for the success of this procedure, in particular the injection in my right buttock. Since then I have not had one instance of the pain running down my right leg or the numbness in my right foot which I had been experiencing beforehand, in addtion to the pain in my back. Thank you for your expertise which has resulted in my currenlly being pain free.
would like to express my sincere gratitude ....until I met you I was being passed from doctor to doctor without much explanation for my chronic pain condition nor understanding or an idea of how it should be dealt with. You havebeen instrumental in shining a ray of hope in what was becoming a very depressing situation for me.
I have been suffering from this knee problem since 2007. After 2 years of multiple operations, months and months of physio, pain, pain killer addiction and a total disbelief that there would be light at the end of the tunnel, we were introduced to you. You were the first person we could trust, you gave us good advice, you spoke to us in a way we could understand and made us feel positive for the first time during this saga. Without your help and advice I would not be at the stage I am now. A big thank you to you for all you have done for me.
After 3 years of multiple referrals, tests and months of physio, continued pain and a total disbeleif that there ever would be light at the end of the tunnel we were introduced to you. When my husband and I met you for the first time we both agreed that you were the first person we could trust, you gave us good advice. you spoke to us in a way we could understand and made us feel positive for the first tme during this saga. You have always been very polite and honest, I know I can tell you my symptoms and you will treat accordingly. Along this hell of a journey I can honestly say you have been the one person who we can trust and has given us the help, support and hope we so desperately needed. You have gone to great lengths to help get my pain under control and if I have any needed any advice or help relating to my condition, you have always responded. Without your help and advice I would not be at the stage I am now.
My experience started in 2009 with pain in the coccyx region, which progressively worsened. I had to give up spinning classes and the pain was becoming so extreme that I used to dread standing up as a release of pressure as I stood up was very painful. I was referred to a spinal consultant who diagnosed that I had coccydynia and advised a coccyx cushion and a cortisone injection with manipulation. This gave temporary benefit for 3-4 months and was done in 2010 and 2011. I struggled on using the cushion but the pain was becoming unbearable. In march 2012, I was refered to Dr.Ravindran who after reviewing my medical history recommended a different nerve block and a change of medication. This was done as a day case in May 2012. This was under X-ray and Dr.Ravindran showed me all the different stages which helped me to understand more about what was happening. I had about 50% success meaning I was able to sit for longer periods without pain. He advised me to try the same procedure but with added treatment of producing an electric current to go the coccyx again. It is now 6 months and I am pleased to say that I no longer need any medication or the cushion. I can safely say that the percentage of pain relief has been increased to 90%, I still get minor discomfort if I sit for longer periods but I feel like I have my life back again. I cannot thank Dr.Ravindran enough for what he has done for me. I would highly recommend anyone with this condition to seek medical advice as soon as possible.
